We'll start the day celebrating your admission to Conn with President Andrea Chapdelaine, Dean of Admission and Financial Aid Andy Strickler, and a current student, who will also share their Camel experience.

While there is no formal pre-law “track” at Conn, there are many resources, activities and engagements available if you’re interested in the law. Our pre-law advising advisers will be standing by! (Disclaimer: They may be sitting.)

STEM Sessions

We offer nine different sessions so you can attend the one you’re most interested in: Biology; Botany; Chemistry / Biochemistry / Biochemistry, Cellular and Molecular Biology; Computer Science; Environmental Studies; Geoscience; Mathematics and Statistics; Neuroscience; Physics, Astronomy and Geophysics. Professors in these disciplines will share what it's like to major in them and, if applicable, take you to labs and other spaces they use.

Sessions and tours will depart from the 1962 Room Patio. Look for a professor holding a sign listing the tour you’d like to take. See the STEM insert in your packet for the full names of tours and their respective sign colors.

Visit Walter Commons, our hub for global learning, and speak with staff and students about resources and opportunities that can enhance your global education, including language study, study away, international internships, fellowships and more.

Arboretum Tour

Established in 1931, the Connecticut College Arboretum encompasses the entirety of Conn’s 750-acre landscape. The Arboretum offers students a place for experiencing beauty, enjoying nature and passive recreation as well as serving as a living laboratory for environmental research and teaching. Take a tour of the 30-acre Native Plant Collection.

Behind the Scenes of Meeting Net Zero

Camels walk the walk. On this walking tour of some of Conn’s sustainability initiatives, you’ll get to see the reality of the climate issues facing our world today and how Conn is working to meet net zero. Please note: Capacity is limited on this tour because we'll be visiting some small spaces, and there will be stairs along the way.

Athletic Center Tour

See where our Camels get fit and in fighting shape. On this tour of the AC, you'll see the fitness center, field house, rock wall, natatorium, ice hockey rink and artificial turf track and field. You'll also get a view of our newly revitalized waterfront, including the boathouse and new docks on the Thames River.

Meet outside the front door of the Athletic Center (G5). Note: We suggest driving to the AC for the tour if you'd like to depart from there.

Take a Class (Students Only)

Students: See our fabulous faculty and superior students at work! You'll choose from a list of available courses that we'll post soon. (We'll also include the list in your Camel Day packet so you don't have to make a decision now.) Please note: Classes are open to students only as space is limited. If there are no seats available, we ask that you go to another class rather than stand or sit on the floor.

Financial Aid Services

The Office of Financial Aid Services will be open during Camel Day, so if you have questions or need to drop off paperwork, stop by at your leisure.

Larrabee Annex (G3) This one's a little tricky to find. Look for signs directing you to Coffee Grounds. Financial Aid Services is to the right of the entrance to the coffee shop.

Snacks!

There's a lot to do on Camel Day, so stop by and fuel up on grab-and-go snacks between sessions!
